CLEVELAND, OH – January 16, 2017
The Harrington Discovery Institute (HDI) at University Hospitals in Cleveland, Ohio has announced 15 new recipients of the Harrington Scholar-Innovator and Partnership Awards. The Partnership Scholars were selected in collaboration with the Alzheimer’s Drug Discovery Foundation, Foundation Fighting Blindness, and the University of Oxford. The Harrington Scholars originate from research institutions across the United States and United Kingdom.
The programs selected represent breakthrough discoveries aimed at novel targets and pathways that impact a range of diseases including cancer, Alzheimer’s disease, blindness, and diabetes. The Harrington Scholars will receive funding and expert guidance from HDI’s Innovation Support Center to translate their discoveries into novel medicines.
